Denis Levett, the consultant, is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors , a Honorary Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, a Fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. He qualified in 1955 in Britain and practiced in Britain and Australia before coming to Hong Kong in 1962. He is a past Chairman of the Hong Kong Branch of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, was Chairman of the Education and Membership Committee of that Institution and has been a member of the Joint Standing Committee for the Standard Method of Measurement for many years. He is currently the principal author of the New General Conditions of Building Contract for use in Hong Kong.
